From experience I know how hard it is to maintain good, flawless skin especially when you are not using the correct products. Having tried and tested every product out there I wanted to provide a step by step guide on the correct skin care and makeup products. With the correct skin care and applying the right makeup products, everything is possible.
1. PH Balance
Getting the correct PH Balance for our skin is essential in order to have a clean and clear complexion. Whether your skin is dry or oily it is shouting out that the PH balance isn’t quite right, the products you purchase need to work with your skin, not against it.
2. Daily Routine
Your daily routine is important and should not be sacrificed. Make sure you choose the correct products to use, whether you have sensitive, aging, or spotty skin, having the wrong product can create the opposite goal you are trying to achieve. You must always;
Cleanse
Exfoliate
Tone
Moisturise with SPF
Night cream
3. Face Forward
For a flawless complexion it is important to use a primer. This is essential in preparing the canvas before makeup is applied. Primers helps to diminish fine lines and pores to create a smooth surface for you to apply the concealer and foundation.
4. Conceal
When it comes to concealing blemishes, dark circles or skin imperfections I would always recommend using a concealer one skin tone lighter than your foundation. Add the concealer with a clean brush and remember do not use the same brush for areas of acne.
5. Sculpt & Contour
Contouring has become very popular over the last couple of years, using different coloured shades we are able to create the famous symmetrical and fulfilled cheek bones by highlighting and shading in the correct places. To pick the correct colours for contouring you should use two foundations two shades lighter and two shades darker than your natural complexion. Your foundation should always be applied sparingly, remember it is easier to add more than remove!
6. Add some colour
Create a healthy glow by adding a touch of blusher to the cheeks!
I hope you have enjoyed my blog on creating the perfect canvas! More beauty techniques will be added shortly but remember if you have any questions feel free to contact me!
